Hello gentle reader.
Here is the news.
The Common Dreads album sales currently put it at number FIVE in the UK chart 'midweeks'.
Which is amazing.
To everyone who has thus far bought the album, I offer a massive "Thank You!" on behelf of the band, myself, and everyone who rolls with Enter Shikari. Its nice to see the guys hard work making a dent in the 'real world' (we live in a bubble here on Shikari Island... we try not to let the real world bother us too much, but when we stick our heads out of the nest, its quite nice to see that its not all for nowt).
Should you wish to do your bit to keep it up there in the chart (sadly, the Jonas Brothers are now higher than ES. a sad indication that there's still a ways to go in the greater war), then Common Dreads is available in your nearest record shop or possibly supermarket, and can be bought at Amazon, Play, HMV.co.uk if you want the CD/DVD, CD, LP... or from iTunes, 7Digital and other digital retailers if you want MP3s - iTunes has 3 bouns live tracks too).
Its available from the band's own onlune store too, naturally. Click 'Store' and there you are.
Plug plug plug
:)
Common Dreads is also out in most of the rest of the world now too.
(Japan and Australia, you have to wait just under a week. sorry).
USA and Canada, you can currently only get it from the US merch store, or from iTunes.
(the band will also be selling it at the merch stand on eth USA tour next month).
Everyone else, try your favourite store or online retailer.
Thanks!!

UK TOUR DATES - will hopefully be announced THIS COMING MONDAY.
Tickets will go on general sale at the end of next week.
BUT, we will be doing a few days of special pre-sales for members of the mailing list / Lions Den members etc.
SO, if you check the Lions Den on Monday morning, you get first go at tickets before the tour ads go into the press and ticket sales start properly.

On a less fun note, we've had some complaints from people who attended (or tried to attend) the instores over the past few days that they didn't manage to get wristbands for the shows.
The problem is that these are small venues in the stores, and the stores were inundated with people wanting to attend. In some cases, there was fans queuing from 4 or 5 in the morning to get wristbands!
One of the main bones of contention seems to be that the stores opened the doors early to the people waiting outside, so that all the wristbands were gone by 9am.
HMV's thinking (quite correctly) is this :
why have 400 people stood outside the store for an hour more when they're there already?
Its not fair on the people who've been queuing all night, if they're then left standing in the cold for an extra hour when there is already more than enough of them to take all the wirstbands there and then.
Those guys would have been there for several hours already, so HMV were actually doing all of them a favour.
I know its not really a consolation, but the thing you have to remember is that if those people were in front of you then, they STILL would have been in front of you if the doors had opened at 9am, so you still would not have got a wristband. I know that doesn't help matters, but I'm afraid its the situation.
With these kind of things, we have found that there simply is no "right" way to do them... someone is ALWAYS disappointed.
The only way to disappoint nobody would be to not do these things at all.
Or not do ANYTHING at all.
But then that's not fair on the band either.
What can we do eh?
Its not a perfect world, but its the only one we got.
We all are really sorry for any inconvenience this has caused anyone.
Its not our intention to inflict grief... just putting on some rock shows and stuff
Thanks, and take care of yourselves.
If you need anything, info@entershikari.com is an ideal place to start.
Ian (manager, Enter Shikari)
